El Banco Style: New World Spanish Colonial
El Banco Style: New World Spanish Colonial
Having fallen in love with both the Puerto Vallarta area and Central Mexico, Developers Tim Koogle
and Pam Scott-Koogle began to wonder what it would be like to marry the natural beauty of El Banco with the romantic charm of classical Mexican architecture. Could graceful arches, grand scale, Old World elegance, timeless materials, and artisan craftsmanship live in harmony at the beach? El Banco’s relaxed, yet dramatic beach setting would demand that this architecture be opened up, made outward facing and lighter on its feet. Instead of replicating Spanish Colonial style, they knew they had to re-invent it.
To do so, they handpicked a world-class, bi-cultural Design Team. After three years of painstaking study and development, an entirely new celebration of classic Spanish architecture has emerged. One with a seamless relationship between elegant interior spaces and the dazzling waterfront setting. Hand-crafted to the last detail yet with every modern convenience. We call it ‘New World Spanish Colonial.’ It is El Banco’s signature style. A style being forged at El Banco by the finest collection of stonemasons, wood-carvers, ironworkers, and craftspeople Mexico has to offer.
