About Us

Serendipity Land Holdings is a Northern California based land development company. Founded by Tim Koogle, former CEO and Chairman of Yahoo!, Serendipity’s current focus is developing El Banco, soon to be Puerto Vallarta’s most architecturally significant, lowest density luxury community. Tim Koogle

Tim Koogle, CEO & Developer

Tim Koogle (“TK”) has been an entrepreneur and business executive for over 25 years. He was the founding CEO of Yahoo! Inc. and its Chairman and CEO from 1995 to 2001. Under his leadership, Yahoo! became a leading internet media company with annual net revenues of more than one billion dollars. During his tenure, BusinessWeek named him one of “The Top 25 Executives of the Year.” In 1999 and 2000 and he regularly appeared as an industry expert on programs such as CNBC, CNN/fn, and Fox News.

Tim now spends his time as a private investor actively involved in early stage companies and philanthropy. But, his main focus is developing El Banco into a luxury community, more elegant than any in the region. He and his wife split their time between Northern California and the Puerto Vallarta area. They are committed to the Punta de Mita Peninsula both professionally and as supporters of local non-profits. And, it is their intention to build their dream home at El Banco.

Pam Koogle

Pam Scott-Koogle, Developer & Marketing Director

Pam's background in design (she holds a degree in Industrial Design) and work as an accomplished independent filmmaker (her short films have been honored around the world, including at Sundance) inspires her creative approach to life and work. Most of her 20+ year career was spent at some of the world’s best advertising agencies in New York and San Francisco. As Strategic Director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, she was charged with bringing cultural and consumer inspiration to the advertising and brand experiences of her clients. Her work for Nike was recognized by the industry as the most outstanding example of qualitative research and brand strategy in the country. In 2000, she launched The Curious Company, a research studio and branding boutique known for its proprietary insights that inspire clients – like Levi’s, kate spade, Cadillac, Lexus, and American Express – to deliver more compelling and innovative brand experiences.

Rodolfo Gomez Chapa

Rodolfo Gomez Chapa, General Manager

Rodolfo obtained his Engineering Degree and MBA from Monterrey Tech and has been a business executive for over 30 years. He has led organizations in México, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela & the Caribbean. He has extensive experience in multiple disciplines including: Industrial O.E.M., Automotive O.E.M & Aftermarket, Consumer Products, and Real Estate. Rodolfo has managed several large land development and housing projects all over Mexico. An integral a part of El Banco’s management team, he is committed to overseeing day-to-day operations, managing all local contractors, and generally ensuring nothing but the highest quality construction throughout El Banco.

Marc Sinanian

Marc Sinanian, Co-Founder, La Punta Realty

After receiving a Master Degree in Finance and Marketing from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Marseille, France, Marc Sinanian traveled throughout Southeast Asia working as a Foreign Exchange Broker. In the early 1990’s he came to Puerto Vallarta where he settled and started a successful career selling high-end residences. In 2000, Marc co-founded La Punta Realty and has since specialized in promoting large undeveloped parcels of land along the coast. Marc’s goal is to provide all the resources necessary to make purchasing real estate in Mexico a pleasurable and easy experience.

Alexis Burwell

Alexis Burwell, Co-Founder, La Punta Realty

A native of the Yucatán, Alexis received some of his education in the United States (including several semesters at the University of California at Berkeley) but obtained his degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Involved in the greater Puerto Vallarta real estate market for over eight years, Alexis has been an active member of the local chapter of AMPI (Mexican Association of Professional Realtors) for which he served two terms as President. For the past five years Alexis has been focused on the North Shore of the Bay of Banderas, promoting and selling high-end residential projects.

Meredith Bradford

Meredith Bradford, Public Relations Specialist

Meredith joined the El Banco team in 2005, after working in public relations and marketing for Williams-Sonoma for seven years. While at Williams-Sonoma, Meredith managed brand publicity, media communications, strategic partnerships, special events, advertising, and launched multiple marketing initiatives. Prior to Williams-Sonoma, Meredith worked for other premium brands including Polo Ralph Lauren and Neiman Marcus. The natural beauty combined with the low-density Master Plan inspires Meredith in her work for El Banco.

Nicole Thorn

Nicole Thorn, Event Coordinator

Nicole has been interested in the Latin culture for most of her life. At age 12 Nicole participated in an exchange program with a family from Leon, Guanajuato and since has made many trips back and forth from Mexico to learn the language and culture. Originally from Spokane, Washington, Nicole is fully bi-lingual with a deep respect for cultural on both sides of the border. She received both a Bachelors of Education and Spanish from the University of Portland in Oregon. For eight years she worked in the San Diego City Schools District as a bi-lingual elementary school teacher for some of the most at-risk schools in the area. In August of 2006, she moved to Puerto Vallarta with her husband. Since then she has been putting her language and people skills to great use. Nicole has become a local Property & Events Manager with impeccable attention to detail. In early 2007 she joined the El Banco team as the development’s Event Coordinator.

Juan E. Zúñiga

Juan E. Zúñiga, General Counsel

Juan E. Zúñiga is general counsel for El Banco and the founder and owner of Cross Border Law Group, P.C., a law firm serving clients in the promotion, investment, development and protection of their international businesses. A native of Los Angeles, California and raised in both Los Angeles and Mexico D.F., Juan is fully bi-lingual and bi-cultural. Juan received his A.B. from Harvard College and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. In his spare time, Juan enjoys community service work through the various non-profits where is pro bono legal counsel, collecting Latin American art, cooking, reading 19th Century history and boogie boarding in the San Diego surf. Juan is married to Rebeca Perez- Serrano (a fine lawyer in her own right) and they have 2 children – Juan Andrés and Cristina.
